My old car I traded in for $1,500 went from $5,900 to $3,400 in two weeks. I bought it in 2012 for $5,500. It needs about $2M in work, maybe they realize that now.

It’s always fun watching what happens with what you trade in
I traded in the C30 for $9k. It was initially listed at $11k.
Right before it sold, they had it at $9,250. They lost money on me!

I’m impressed you got that much for it for a trade-in. Those LS’s are dirt cheap.

I was hoping to get $2,000 on Craigslist so $1,500 sounded great. I didn’t think they wanted it.
It had a very harsh driveshaft/differential thud when taking off. The guy who test drove it said it just needed new struts (which it doesn’t have).

The lady who cuts what’s left of my hair has one. She describes it as a ticking time bomb. She bought it for $4000 back in 2010, apparently.

Yes they are. Especially the 00-02 models.

I traded in a 1990 Celica when I bought my 350Z, got $1500 for it...
...went by the dealership the next week and the sign on it was “$500 AS-IS”
Seems they missed the incurable non-charging problems that weren’t due to the battery, alternator, or voltage regulator, but instead due to some ECU... also it allegedly had burnt exhaust valves... and I knew for a fact that it was leaking power steering fluid
